What to expect in 2 hours
Meet your instructor, browse reference designs, and sketch out your block pattern. Whether you go with florals, geometric shapes, letters, or something completely your own — your instructor will help you plan a design that works beautifully in print.
This is the satisfying part. Using carving tools, you’ll carefully cut away your design to create a raised printing surface. Your instructor guides you through every step so it’s safe, easy, and fun — even for first-timers and kids.
Roll the ink, press the block, and watch your design come to life on paper. You’ll print two greeting cards, experimenting with colour and placement. No two prints are ever exactly the same — that’s the magic of block printing.
Add final touches to your cards, clean up, and admire everyone’s work. You’ll take home your printed cards and your carved block — so you can keep printing at home whenever you want.

Do I need any experience?
Not at all! This workshop is designed for complete beginners. Your instructor will guide you through every step.
Is this safe for kids?
Yes — ages 6 and up are welcome. Carving tools are beginner-friendly and your instructor will supervise and assist younger participants throughout.
What do I take home?
You’ll leave with 2 hand-printed greeting cards AND the block you carved — so you can keep printing at home.
Do I need to bring anything?
Just yourself! All materials and tools are provided.
Can I register at the door?
No — pre-registration is required. Spots are limited to ~15 participants per session.
